INFORMATION: THE ULTIMATE WEAPON
Scientific Laws, Information and the Origin of Life

featuring
DR. WERNER GITT

The processes running in all living organisms are driven by information. The carriers of this information are DNA molecules. Dr. Gitt Shows that information is a nonmaterial entity for which there are scientific laws. He formulates four basic laws for information that permit him to draw far-reaching conclusions about the origin of life and about human existence. In his lecture, Dr. Gitt takes to task the purely materialistic scientific view. He shows that the commonly held ideas of evolution, materialism and atheism are no longer tenable in the light of the newest research and that the scientific laws on information infer inexorably that the Originator of Life must be Omniscient, Almighty and Eternal.

Gitt was born in Raineck, Ebenrode East Prussia (now Nesterov in the Kaliningrad, Russia) in 1937, the son of Hermann Gitt, a farmer, and his wife Emma (née Girod). During the Second World War, his 15-year old elder brother Fritz was taken away and killed by the Red Army, his mother was taken to a Soviet Labor camp where she died and his uncle Fritz was killed fighting for the Volkssturm. His father survived and was taken prisoner of war in France. He and his aunts were relocated to Fohrin in the North Frisian Islands where he was reunited with his father.

Dr. Gitt obtained an undergraduate degree in engineering from the Technical University of Hanover in 1968 and completed his Ph. D. summa cum laude in 1970 from the Technical University of Aachen that also awarded him its prestigious "Borchers Medal". In 1971 Werner Gitt started his career at the German Federal Institute of Physics and Technology in Brunswick being promoted to Director and Professor in 1978. He has served as Head of Information Technology from 1971 until 2002 when he retired. He is the author of numerous research papers dealing with information science, numerical mathematics, and control engineering and several creationist books including " In the Beginning Was Information". He has lectured on "Faith and Science" on all five continents in 23 different countries.

FOUNDATIONS IN GENESIS OF IDAHO/OREGON

Foundations In Genesis of Idaho/Oregon, also known as ‘FIGI’ (pronounced fig-ee), is a local Creation Science organization that hosts Adult & Children's science seminars and geological field adventures. Bringing in scientists who are experts in their fields, FIGI Seminars & Field Adventures offer fascinating information and cutting edge evidence which encourages critical thinking and an understanding of factual science which are key in which worldview (biblical or evolutionary) a person chooses.

“For by Him all things were created…”   Colossians 1:16

“For in six days the Lord made the Heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is in them...”
Exodus 20:11

What does science tell us about the scriptures above?  Did everything evolve millions of years ago beginning with a big bang or are we living on a relatively young earth created by God?

Please join us. Our seminars are lay people friendly and are offered at no charge.  Our geological field adventures consist of local one day trips and camping expeditions and costs are minimal. Check out our website for a history of our past seminars & Field Adventures and for upcoming events.
